This is a file on my box that I have created to keep a written record of all the quotes from this living history that I have written on temporary areas, like Myspace bulletins.
For the benefit of all who have not seen these key elements to the story, here is "Quotes Notes"

"The Holy Empire of Garan, though small at first, gained power very quickly to become what it is today, a multi-faceted gem of the new world. Not only has it conquered a good portion of the known world, but it has also has colonized the nieghboring planets of its system. On these planets it has set up special academies for the arts, sciences, and for the general advancement of knowledge. On some of the more distant planets of the system, the Empire has developed them for the use of large scale experiments and research. Some of the planets in the other systems of their galaxy have been granted ownership by the Emporer to certain citizens or groups of the Empire for independent and private research, as well as payment by the Emporer in some cases as to deeds done for the Empire. A good number have been colonized in the name of the Empire, and many more remain to be explored. All in all, the Holy Empire of Garan is a hale, hardy, and above all, imperialistic nation."

"It is said that Nisan City, today an old broken down town, with few residents, used to be a thriving center of commerce and a seat of knowledge in the olden days. It used to go by the name of Alta V'es, and it used to be the seat for Nisan religious sect. Something grand in the annals of history happened there, something awesome and terrible in its audacity. One of Nisan's neighboring countries, the Seanchan, quite imperialistic in the history books, had been building up their armies for quite some time. They had conquered this small territory and that small city-state, and finally, they had set their sights on the nation of Nisan. Great in number were their armies, and well
trained, and on the coasts of Nisan were these armies set out. They cut a swath through the outlying towns and cities and eventually made it to Alta V'es, in the heart of the Nisan continent. Alta V'es was well prepared, its parisoes forsaw this outcome and had made preparations accordingly, namely, a large garrison of Nisan soldiers. For fifty days and fifty nights the Alta V'es citadel lay besieged by the seemingly tireless Seanchan infantry. On the fifty-first day, according to the parisoes' records, the spear of Seran, the Nisan god of warfare and violence, sprouted from the very ground the Seanchan had been marching over. According to the parisoes, the spear of Seran, in one hour, had routed the feirce Seanchan armies. Then, as fast as it had appeared, the spear disappeared back into the ground. And with that, the siege of Alta V'es was broken, and once again, peace was restored."

"They had truly evolved, in a sense. Evolution is a process of natual selection; only the fittest of beings survive. The Droidan race was by no means merely robotic, but sentient. They truly possesed the quality of intelligence that we, their "masters", had never thought them to have. This was the reason we lost. We underestimated them, and in doing so we under estimated the will to survive, a concept as old as time. We underestimated evolution, and we payed for it dearly."

"They came in their grand ships of the air, of metal and lights, and they hovered over our fair city.
We rejoiced. And then they transmitted to all the open frequencies one simple message. "Ye shall be
as gods" it said. And then the first death-arrow flew. We fled."

"...and the Alpha looked out upon the land, and shined the radiance of his new dawn across the people of land. The glorious radiance carried with it a promise. Peace, it said. Peace for our fallen brothers and destroyed ideals. Peace, it guarenteed, from the destruction and cataclysmic misfortune we endured under the Omega. No more, it promised, no more. No more meaningless death, no more sufferring, and no more pain. No more, it proclaimed, and the people rejoiced."

"...and, when in the desert, keep one thing in mind at all times: it is only you and the sun, no one, no thing, else. The sun is your worst enemy. It molded the barren landscape under you, made it fallow, and it will try to mold you into it as well, if your not careful."

"We the Droidan no longer wish to be apart of the Holy Empire of Garan. Why be apart of a
garan empire if one is not garan? No longer will we live a life of complacent servitude,
and above all, we will not tolerate living a life of incomprehension anymore. We are sentient!
Though the garan do not possess the higher level logic engines of the Droidan, they can
understand this simple fact. We are sentient beings. If the garan cannot understand this of
their own devices or volition, then we are forced to bring them enlightenment, by any means
necessary. Our voice will be heard!"

Excerpt from his infamous pro-revolution speech
Droidan Revolution, Holy Empire of Garan
"The soldier is not paid to observe. The soldier is paid to fight. The soldier is given room and board
to serve, not to observe. Observations lead to questions and questions lead to knowledge, which abolishes ignorance, which makes the soldier unruly. Observations also lead to conclusions, and conclusions lead to confusion. The soldier is kept alive solely to say yes sir, no sir, and I understand sir, not to ask questions."

"The Order of the Kensai"
Introduction
Not so much a race of beings, but an order, the Kensai noke faytian sera
gigio, which translates roughly to "those gifted who possess the mind of their sword"
The Order of the Kensai Noke Faytian Sera Gigio, or simply the Kensai, are a monastic order of warrior monks. The monks of this order truly have an affinity for their weapon of choice
There are very few members of this Order, the requirements for admission
being quite high. one must pass three tests, tests that only the order and the participant have knowledge of. There is only one thing known about these three tests, and that is that the first test can be walked away from, but failure on the other two mean death.
The Kensai are the most feared combatants of Garan, with every military power seeking thier abilities, so as to train their men. But this rarely ever happens, Only notably when Jakkan, the Kensai leader allows it.
It should aslo be noted that though Kensai had seen combat extensively in the Droidan Revolution, on both sides, The Empire, to this day, still persecutes the Kensai to the ends of the planet. They are sought out, hunted down, and overwhelmed into death.
Though originally solely for swordsman, the Order now practices with all sorts of weapons, ranging from all the lands in Garan."

"The historians all look to the Droidan and the Empire who fought in the Droidan Revolution. They compare notes on battle regements, and the new weapons and battle techniques displayed in the war. Only a few focus on the Order. As far as im concerned, all the better they never give our involvement the time of day."
